   My name is Jim Hengy (or now as my friends call me "Jimmy Boner")
   I grew up in Florida fishing both fresh and saltwater regularly, my buddies and I are weekend warriors. We are always competing with each other with who has the best equipment from rods to boats and even our trucks to pull our toys with. I heard about this small edgy local (Sebring, Florida) custom fishing rod company that made handcrafted custom fishing rods geared towards the discerning freshwater and inshore saltwater angler. This rod is beautiful to look at and tailored to your individual needs with superior performance and durability and it's called a "BONER! BONER CUSTOM RODS, a serious rod with a great fricking name!
   My first response when hearing of BONER was laughter. If your going to call it a BONER, what ever it is it's got to be the BEST performing product ever, that when you have a BONER in your hand it puts a smile on your face that shows you are damn proud to own such a quality product! A BONER needs to stand up to the test of time, it needs to remain strong and durable and be guaranteed to last and perform during the most strenuous circumstances! It's your BONER! It's special. So I bought a BONER of my own (you can do that nowadays) and I was really impressed with the components, craftsmanship, strength and especially the sensitivity of my new BONER. My buddies were jealous over my BONER and of course all the fun started there! It wasn't long before all of them ordered their own BONERS.
   We loved the idea about the BONER philosophy so much that we bought the company and are expanding the custom line to encompass a series of BONER Rods from the first time fisherman to the weekend warrior and all the way up to the Pro line.
   We are so proud of our BONER RODS that we want to let everybody know we have BONERS! Keeping with the highest quality standards and edgy name we came up with a line of apparel that features fishing shirts, tshirts, hats with sayings like "If your gonna go fishing.. you gotta have a BONER!" and "If you're gonna fishing for Snapper you gotta have a BONER!" or one of my all time favorites "What could be better than holding your BONER at the crack of dawn!" We are building a company that will be different from traditional ones, a company that has you involved in product design, promotion and participation. A company that brings a new level of FUN and EXCITEMENT to Outdoor Recreation.
